Monday Journal #19

Today is special. Not only because it is the most magical morning of the year, but it is also time for our last Monday Journal of 2018 – Yay!

It’s been a great ride for mit Handkuss. Many things changed throughout the year and many were the things we tried before finding our “new voice” on the blog. The team changed. We travelled from Stockholm to Tel Aviv and we shot over Vienna’s sky. We also attended Pomellato’s 50-Year Anniversary at Palais Kaunitz-Metternich and we worked for really cool brands that allowed us to have these types of memories. And of course… I became a Brand Ambassador for a brand I love – I mean!!!

So, on the morning of the 24th, we thought it would be great to do a general throwback of the most beloved blog posts of the year. Monday Journal #1, for example, was the second most visited post of the year – Thank you all for being a part of our journey!

Here’s a sneak peek into our insights and what all of you enjoyed the most in 2018. Ready?

Top #6 Story: Emilian and I have been travelling long-distance since he was only 6 months old and since then, I have been able to become a travel expert when travelling with a toddler. The tips and hacks on Traveling With Kids were one of the most visited articles on the blog. Therefore, we put together some similar articles like Happy Kids on Board or How To Get Ready For Your Next Adventure.

Top #5 Story: Das Kaufhaus Geschichte was a short story about love. About how we as humans, always look for more. More money, more adventures, more things, better people. But what if we are missing out on the “now”?

Top #4 Story: MOMpreneur interviews seemed to be some of the stories you liked the most. It all started with Blanka, she was our very first MOMpreneur on the blog. Since this topic was something really personal to me, we continued with Isabel from Salon Mama and Lisa Kandlhofer. All the MOMpreneur stories were a huge success on the blog!

Top #1 Story: Now we know that you are all into breakfast in the city as much as we are since this Ask The Team: Best Breakfast Spots in Town was also on our top list. In fact, we even wrote the Fall version of this article and yes … you loved it too!

Top #2 Story: Our third most visited post this year was this collaboration for Coca-Cola. This article was a chat with Evelyne de Leersnyder about work-life balance as a mom. Mostly about how challenging it can be but also, about discovering that everything is possible – if you really want it.

But of course, since the Monday Journal was initially about keeping you up to date about our happenings at the office, here are some shots of last week’s Christmas team dinner at Otto Wagner Schützenhaus.

Oh and also… we will be taking a break till January, 10^th. It is now time to enjoy friends and family. We can’t wait for an amazing 2019 with you – Thank you for all!

Wir feiern. Doch wer meint, es sei einfach nur Heiligabend, der irrt. Nein, wir feiern heute AUCH das letzte Monday Journal des Jahres 2018!

Für uns bei mit Handkuss war es ein überaus spannendes Jahr. Wir erlebten verschiedenste Neuerungen, setzten den Blog neu auf, machten Veränderungen im Team. Wir reisten um die halbe Welt, von Stockholm über Tel Aviv bis in den Nachthimmel über Wien. Wir besuchten das 50-Jahr Jubiläum von Pomellato im Palais Kaunitz-Metternich – eine der vielen tollen Marken, mit denen wir zusammenarbeiten durften. Ich selbst wurde ja auch Markenbotschafterin für … na ja, ihr wisst schon!

Wir haben uns gedacht, wir schauen heute zurück und fragen uns, welche Blogbeiträge im abgelaufenen Jahr am meisten Aufmerksamkeit gefunden haben…

Topstory #6: Mit Emilian bin ich viel und gern herumgereist, seitdem er sechs Monate alt war. Unterwegs habe ich so einiges gelernt, wie man Reisen mit Kindern leichter machen kann.

Topstory #5: Eine kleine Geschichte über Liebe – über das, worauf es im Leben wirklich ankommt.

Topstory #4: Die MOMpreneur Interviews haben eingeschlagen und stehen ganz hoch auf der Hitliste. Ich selbst liebe diese Serie und die großartigen Frauen, die wir dafür interviewen dürfen.

Topstory #3: Wer frühstückt nicht gern. Wir in jedem Falle … und ihr scheinbar auch. Jedenfalls haben unsere liebsten Wien-Spots viel Zuspruch erhalten.

Topstory #2: Wir unterhielten uns mit Evelyne de Leersnyder von Coca-Cola – einer faszinierenden Frau mit spannendenden Einsichten.

Topstory #1: Der Hit des Jahres 2018 war unser Beitrag zum Thema “Dankbarkeit”. Eine Liebeserklärung ans Leben. Ein MUST READ!

Das war 2018, und nun ist’s vorbei. Für uns ein tolles Jahr – für euch hoffentlich auch. Wir bedanken uns bei euch und wünschen euch eine schöne Weihnacht und einen guten Rutsch in ein glückliches 2019.

Ganz zum Schluss: Wir nutzen die Tage um den Jahreswechsel zum Ausruhen und zum Auslüften. Weiter geht’s am 10. Januar – mit wieder neuen Ideen und mit viel, viel Freude auf EUCH.
