Pink Revolution

23. April 2019

Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions, said Pablo Picasso and boy, was he right. Lately, well, actually ever since cherry blossom season started, we feel drawn to all things pink simply because it makes us happy. The colors we surround ourselves with have a significant effect on our emotions. Up until today scientists are trying to figure out how different colors can affect our moods, feelings and even behaviors. According to 124 million posts #pink might be the most powerful color on Instagram. Our feelings about color are often deeply personal and rooted in your own experience or culture. Think pink in the 1950s and millennial pink today: there could not be a greater difference in how pink was perceived now and back then.

Today we honor pink because it represents universal love of oneself and of others. Pink represents friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, and approachability. Let’s start a pink revolution by adding a happy pink into our lives. Here are our 10 favorite pieces that celebrate pink happiness.

Did you know about the Greek myth saying that nymphs used to hide their naked forms in Peonies to shield them from prying eyes? While pink peonies are the most romantic form of Peony, they make the ideal color for wedding bouquets and table arrangements.

Giambattista Valli knows that there‘s no better time than spring to plump for tailoring in bold, bright shades like pink. These cotton-blend pants with a pressed crease are both perfect for the office or a casual night out.

Seriously, how cool are these plant boxes by the Danish design house Ferm Living? Besides looking lovely, they are suitable for flowers, plants, books, toys and magazines – or maybe a little of each.

Once upon a time, there was a pouf which is also known as a pouffe. The latter is a nineteenth-century French term for something that is puffed out, which concords to the ideal design of a pouf. This pink pouf though is epic by itself.

If you want a pink taste of Vienna, you gotta get yourself some Manner Schnitten. These Neapolitan Wafers have become a symbol of Viennese culture celebrating 125 years of thinking pink.

Who doesn’t love the feeling of “la vie en rose”? These cute pink sunnies allow you to get the essence of the song, making sure you feel over the moon while looking fierce in gold-rose tinted mirror glasses.

Linn Frisinger and Nadja Forsberg launched Swedish Stockings because they believe the world needs more innovative and environmentally conscious products. We embrace their approach and love their lovely pom pom socks.

When it comes to stripes, Breton is always a good idea. This comfy striped top is made from an organic cotton blend. With a soft feel and a regular t, it is our new every day fav and the perfect partner in crime for your favorite jeans.

The resource-preserving use of natural raw materials is the cornerstone of Majavia, a label to watch in terms of sustainable and personalized leather accessories. Your note-book never looked prettier wearing this lovely hue of light pink.

These „One-Of-A-Kind“ sneakers speak for themselves. Platforms plus leather in blush pink with the cutest frill details. We cannot help ourselves, those shoes simply stole my heart. Good thing we can always count on Wenz for making sure we are on track with the trends.

Give us a matte lipstick that resembles our natural lip color, but slightly more saturated and we’ll applaud. Bobbi Brown knows what we are talking about and you will too, once you tried this easy-to-apply and long-lasting blush lip color.

DEUTSCH
