And action… The lights turn off. The room goes silent and all you hear is a random and shy cough at the end of the room. Actors are concentrated and ready. Stress, jitters and adrenaline – all in one. All of a sudden, everyone is on stage. Curtains up!
That’s exactly how Tati described what it feels like to be behind the scenes of a theatre production. This group of artists is based in Vienna and presents two new productions per year. The theatre company “Soles del Sur” includes a team of make-up artists, costume and stage designers and naturally very talented actors.
Meanwhile in Vienna… finally, the Christmas lights are on and the markets have opened under some unfortunate grey skies in the city. Emilian and I are already getting ready to attend our first market of the season this week and we are planning to tell you everything about it on the blog… So, stay tuned this Friday for more information about the best events happening in Vienna for kids!
Travel update… As for me, you might have seen on Insta Stories I was lucky enough to spend some days in the beautiful city of Bruges, Belgium. Those views, those landscapes and the beautiful hotel I had the chance to stay in, made it all the perfect little weekend escape. And yes… I filled my suitcase for my girls in the office with Belgian chocolate. They are SO good…!

About us and the team… We already told you about our new intern some weeks ago, so we thought the best way of officially introducing her to all of you was by asking her some questions about herself… So here is a little bit about Emma!

I can’t decide between “Teenage Dirtbag” or “Oops I did it again” because these are two songs that really describe me – But I would lean more for “Oops I did it again” because I am officially not a teenager anymore!
We won’t ask you where you are from… but how far do you live from the city you were born in?
I live approximately 500m away from the house I was born in – we moved twice since then but never changed the district.
And of course, afternoon wine or morning coffee? If you had to choose one of these for the whole month of December, which one would it be?
Morning coffee all the way!!!! I wouldn’t survive the day without a dose of caffeine – I’m a very sleepy person.
Lastly… because it is this time of the year, we came across this article with more than ten different new Christmas ads of different brands – And who doesn’t love some cheesy festive ads at this time of the year? Währenddessen in Wien… Der Ring strahlt wieder in Weihnachtsdekoration und langsam kommt Weihnachtsstimmung auf! Ich bin schon mehr als bereit für den ein oder anderen Punsch! Deswegen war ich gestern mit Freunden und den Kids am Christkindlmarkt am Karlsplatz. Mit Kindern sehr empfehlenswert… Aber dazu mehr kommendes Wochenendce: Es wird eine Ladung an Information, was du bis Weihnachten mit Kindern unternehmen kannst.
Reiseupdate… Ich habe die letzte Woche mit ein paar Tagen in Brügge gestartet, einer wunderschönen kleinen Stadt mit tollen Aussichten und einem tollen Hotel in Belgien. Außerdem bin ich mit paar Kilos mehr zurückgekommen … im Koffer. Schokolade galore!
Unser momentanes Abendprogramm ist “Die Telefonistinnen” auf Netflix – eine perfekte Kombination aus Liebe, Leidenschaft und Geheimnissen. Wer kennt’s?
Über uns…Wir haben eine neue Praktikantin, Emma und sie hat uns verraten, dass sie aus dem Jahr stammt in dem “Oops, I did it again” herausgekommen ist, noch immer in der nähe des Familienhauses wohnt und ihren täglichen Kaffee braucht. Tati macht bei einer Theaterproduktion mit, die zwei Mal im Jahr eine große Aufführung hat. Caro war im neuen Hollerkoch im 18. Bezirk und war sehr begeistert von den hauseigenen Hollerkrapfen! Abgesehen davon haben ihr auch die Kürbissuppe und das Zanderfilet mit Kürbis-Süßkartoffelpüree sehr gut geschmeckt.
Da um diese Zeit des Jahres viele Marken eigene Weihnachtswerbungen machen, haben wir eine Liste mit den besten von diesem Jahr gefunden – unser Favoriten sind gleich hier unten anzusehen.
