Monday Journal #9

The girls had the best intentions when they went to the 25 hours hotel in the 7th with the aim of snapping some material for an exciting upcoming article on summer nights in Vienna when the sky turned completely black. As soon as the girls ordered their drinks, it started raining like there was no tomorrow. In fact, Caro even took some shots of the situation. This type of short storms reminds of the ones in Asia. Short, but strong storms that have the power of clearing the sky minutes after the storm has passed.

Still, in Vienna, I would like to make a quick shout out to the people from Natural Crunchy who sent over two full boxes of snacks some days ago. I was also told that it was quite hard for the girls to resist not to eat all of them before I got back from my Ibiza trip. Thanks again!

Even though the weather in Vienna hasn’t been the best, the nicest season of the year hasn’t still finished and that means adventures around the world are still happening within the team, in fact Antonia is packing her stuff to Greece, while Lilly literally just landed from Mallorca and Caro left on a very last minute weekend trip to Warsaw, Poland before heading on to her yearly summer trip to the south of France. Because what would the summer be without some new and exciting views and adventures? Hearing all her stories, made me start daydreaming of my next destination … Any exciting proposals I should keep in mind?

Behind the scenes of the week

Last week I went to shoot with the Vichy family in the morning and in the evening we had a team shooting planned. After a failed attempt, due to what I honestly believe was a hurricane in Vienna the afternoon of Thursday, we had to move our shooting to Friday afternoon. This shooting, however, was more of an excuse to plan an after-work meeting with the team. The location was simply unbeatable – “the tallest building in Schwedenplatz” … The results of this shooting will be on the blog sooner than you might be thinking of. Stay tuned this week!

Na, war das ein Gewitter! Wir waren gerade auf der Dachterrasse des 25 hours hotels im 7. Bezirk. Da wurde es plötzlich pechschwarz, und dann ging’s aber los. Erinnerte mich sehr an meine Erlebnisse in Asien. Ein kurzes, heftiges Gewitter … und dann wieder klarer Himmel. Caro machte (wie immer!) ein paar tolle Aufnahmen…

Lilly besuchte Burger Bros in Wien Mitte – endlich! – und hatte dort einen der besten Burger ihres Lebens. Sie empfiehlt den Burger Bros No1 mit Schinken, Tomaten, roten Zwiebeln, Guacamole und Senf-Mayo. In der Zwischenzeit überraschte uns im Büro Natural Crunchy mit einer guten Portion gesunder Snacks. Danke!

Tati ging in Kino und sah Mamma Mia 2. Immer noch ein sehr guter Film – auch wenn das Original unerreichbar bleibt. Wer hat den Film schon gesehen?

Wen wundert’s – es ist ja Sommer – dass meine Girls immer noch oder schon wieder auf Reisen sind? Antonia hat die Koffer gepackt, um nach Griechenland zu fahren. Lilly kommt gerade aus Mallorca zurück, und Caro schaffte es auf den Flieger nach Warschau … und gleich weiter nach Frankreich. Wie soll ich selbst da nicht ins Träumen kommen? Lucky me, dass es am Freitag wieder in die Ferne geht.

ABER: Natürlich haben wir auch gearbeitet. Gemeinsam mit Vichy und den Jungs von Constant Evolution hatte ich letzte Woche ein großes Shooting. Ein zweites Shooting für einen Getränkehersteller führte uns auf das “höchste Gebäude am Schwedenplatz” – ein grossartiger Ort! Die Bilder werden wir euch schon sehr bald zeigen. Deshalb: Stay tuned!
